The agreement, in plain language.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Car Aide AI (the “app”), a mobile application operated by Car Aide AI (“we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Car Aide AI is a consumer-grade reference tool that provides information about vehicle warning lights, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), common symptoms, and general automotive guidance. It uses a combination of curated reference data and an on-device artificial-intelligence model.

Vehicle problems can be dangerous. If a warning light indicates a serious condition, your vehicle behaves abnormally, or you are uncertain whether it is safe to drive, stop immediately and consult a licensed mechanic. You are solely responsible for decisions made using the app.

The AI assistant may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information. AI output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a human before being shown to you. Do not rely on AI output for safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information with a qualified professional.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the store terms of Apple or Google. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app.

Car Aide AI is free to download and use with a limited AI chat allowance and ads on some results. Pro is an optional one-time $4.99 lifetime upgrade that unlocks unlimited AI chat messages, voice input and output, removes ads, and creates clean shares without a watermark. Prices may vary by region or app-store policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass the ad system or chat rate limits
• Extract or redistribute the on-device AI model or reference data
• Use the app to build a competing product
• Interfere with the app's security or integrity

All content in the app — including the interface, reference data, trademarks, and the compiled model — is owned by Car Aide AI or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

The app uses Google AdMob to serve advertising. Your use of this service is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policies.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAR AIDE AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, VEHICLES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. BECAUSE THE APP IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Car Aide AI from any claim, liability, or expense arising from your use of the app, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of a third party.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Car Aide AI is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
